We are sorry to inform our readers that the latest edition of Trini Fake News has been delayed. We are having technical difficulties with our printing press. An unfortunate issue has arisen out of a decision to hire a team of Chinese labourers to run the presses. The boys are great workers and cheap but they seem to have some issues with the Burmese/Myanmarese Buddhists we offered ‘refuge’ to recently. Under assurances from our International Relations correspondent, we assumed everything would be fine.
We have locked both parties in the printing room and await the outcome. We’ll keep you updated on this issue which hopefully does not create an international incident. We would hate to be the cause of tensions between the Chinese and the Burmese/Myanmarese.
On a side note, we have a vacancy for a journalist with a background in International Relations. The qualifications are the ability to write semi-coherent sentences and must read, at least once per week, the international news page on any of the local daily newspapers. If you have access to the Internet and also read news stories there, we consider that an advantage. Send your resume to email@example.com
